Configuring iBoss Cloud Security Proxy to Allow LanSchool Air
Overview
If student devices are appearing as "
Offline" after an instructor has started class, it could be related to a network communication error caused by a content filter, firewall, or proxy.

Before continuing: In most cases, simply ensuring that students are able to access the correct URLs for LanSchool Air services is sufficient. See
LanSchool Air System Requirements for details.
If simply allowing the URLs through the filter doesn't help, it may be due to the proxy requiring students to authenticate first, preventing the LanSchool Air client from connecting successfully at launch. In these cases, follow these instructions for information on how to configure the iBoss Cloud Security proxy (for example) to allow student devices to connect to LanSchool Air services prior to requiring authentication via the proxy.
Instructions
From the iBoss Cloud Security home page, select Data Redirection. It may be called Connect Devices to iBoss Cloud.
Select Proxy. It may be called Proxy Settings.
- Select the Proxy PAC tab.

- Select Manage Location PAC on the Platform Health page.

- Select Edit Default Zone or the appropriate zone for your student devices.

- Select the PAC Settings tab.

- In the Add a Function section:
- In the Select a function list, select Domain Match.
- Enter *.lenovosoftware.com in the Domain Name field.
- In the Action list, select Bypass.
- Select Add.

- Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Update PAC Zone.
