Capturing a Screen Snapshot

Overview

With LanSchool Air, instructors can quickly take screenshots to showcase exceptional student work in the classroom and share their progress during parent-teacher conferences. Saved screenshots are automatically downloaded to the instructor's device and will not be saved within LanSchool Air.

Capturing Screenshots

From the main toolbar, instructors can choose to capture screenshots from individually selected students or from all students in the class.

Capturing Screenshots of All Students

  1. Click on the Screenshot icon in the toolbar and select Screenshot All Students.


  2. The screenshot will be automatically downloaded and saved on the instructor's computer, in their default Downloads folder.

Capturing Screenshots from Selected Students

  1. Select which students to take screenshots of.


  2. Click on the Screenshot icon in the toolbar and select Screenshot Selected Students.


  3. The screenshot will be automatically downloaded and saved on the instructor's computer, in their default Downloads folder.

Capturing a Screenshot from Grid View

When viewing student screens in Grid View (this is the default view), instructors can save a screenshot of a student's screen by first viewing the details of a student device. Follow the same steps when using Group View.
  1. Click on the 3-dots in the corner of a student's thumbnail and select View Details
     

  2. The student details page appears. Select Capture Screen to save a screenshot of the student's active screen.

  3. The screenshot will be automatically downloaded and saved on the instructor's computer, in their default Downloads folder.

Capturing a Screenshot from List View

When viewing students in List View, instructors can select the camera icon at any time to save a screenshot of the student's screen.
  1. Select a student from the list to view their screen and currently open browser tabs.

  2. Select the camera icon to save a screenshot of the student's active screen.


  3. The screenshot will be automatically downloaded and saved on the instructor's computer, in their default Downloads folder.

Capturing a Screenshot from Group View

When viewing the students in Group Viewinstructors can choose to save a screenshot of an individual student's screen or the screenshots of the entire Group of students.

Capturing Screenshots of Selected Students in Group View

  1. Select which students to take screenshots of.


  2. Click on the Screenshot icon in the toolbar and select Screenshot Selected Students.


  3. The screenshot will be automatically downloaded and saved on the instructor's computer, in their default Downloads folder.

Capturing Group Screenshots

  1. Click on the 3-dots in the corner of Group and select Screenshot Group.


  2. The screenshots from each student in the Group will be automatically downloaded and saved on the instructor's computer, in their default Downloads folder.
Selecting Screenshot All Students from the toolbar while in Group View will place the student screenshots into folders named after each Group.
