Overview

If using LanSchool Air on Chromebook or Mac student devices only, please disregard this notice.

An issue was identified on February 25, 2021 that caused Windows student devices to appear offline in LanSchool Air classes. We apologize for this inconvenience. We ask for your assistance to help resolve the issue.

Please use the following instructions to manually re-install the LanSchool Air agent on student Windows devices to version 2.0.236 or later.

Option 1 - For organizations that use Mass Deploy

First, ensure the PROVISIONING WINDOW is set to OPEN prior to deploying the new agent.
To download the new agent:
  1. As a Site Admin, log in to your LanSchool Air organization(s)
  2. Navigate to Settings > Setup > Windows Setup Instructions
  3. For an EXE manual install, follow the BASIC installation steps
  4. For an MSI mass deployment install, follow the ADVANCED installation steps
For more detailed instructions, see Mass Deploying LanSchool Air for Windows

Option 2 - If you do not use Mass Deploy

For Windows student devices that display as offline, ask instructors to follow these steps:
  1. From within the class, locate Add Devices on the top navigation bar
  2. Select Add to Class Roster
  3. Instruct offline students to follow the URL displayed on the screen
