Gathering Teacher Logs

Overview

LanSchool Air support may ask you to gather teacher browser logs to help troubleshoot an issue. 

Gathering Console Logs

  1. Start a LanSchool Air class.
  2. Depending on the browser:
    • In Chrome: Hold Control and Shift, then press the i key (Ctrl +Shift+I)
    • In Edge: Press the F12 key
    • In FireFox: Hold Control and Shift, then press the j key (Ctrl+Shift+J)
  1. Select the Console tab.

  2. Hold down the Control key and press the a key (Ctrl+a) to select the information in the console.

  3. With the cursor in the body of an email message, hold down the Control key and press the v key (Ctrl+V) to paste the console information into an email message.

  4.  Email the message to the LanSchool Air support team.

Exporting HAR File

  1. Open a LanSchool Air class, do not start the class.
  2.  Open browser devtools. Depending on the browser:
    1. In Chrome: Hold Control and Shift, then press the i key (Ctrl +Shift+I)
    2. In Edge: Press the F12 key
    3. In FireFox: Hold Control and Shift, then press the j key (Ctrl+Shift+J)
  3. Refresh the page after devtools window opens.
  4. Attempt to start the class.
  5. Wait a few seconds.
  6. Navigate to Network Tab in the devtools window.
  7. Click the export HAR button  to download the HAR file.
