Disabling Chat for Entire Organization
Overview
By default, LanSchool Air instructors are able to send messages to either an entire class or an individual student. See
Messaging Students for details on how to use this feature. Some organizations need to prevent instructors from messaging students with LanSchool Air.
Site Admin users can disable the chat feature for the entire organization.
Disabling Chat for the Organization
- A Site Admin will need to log into LanSchool Air.
- Click on the menu at the top left and go to Settings.

- Select General.

- Select Disable chat for the entire organization.

- Select Save at the bottom of the screen.

- When teachers go to click on Chat they will see 'Chat has been disabled by the administrator' and will not be able to chat with the students.
