Overview
Site Admins can configure teacher monitoring of networks that students join. Enabling the IP range constraints prevents student devices from being viewed or monitored while outside of the organization’s network.
Configuring the IP Range Constraints for LanSchool Air
To configure and enable the IP access filter for your LanSchool Air organization:
Log in to LanSchool Air as a Site Admin.
Click on the menu at the top left and go to LanSchool Air Settings.

Select General from the left navigation menu.

- Under IP Range Constraints, select Add IP Range to create a IP address new range.
- Enter a public IP address for the start of the permitted range.
- Enter a public IP address for the end of the permitted range.
- Be sure to use Public IP Addresses that are used by your organization (not internal IP addresses). If your organization uses only a single public IP address, enter that IP address as both the starting and ending address in the range.
If you do not know the public IP addresses used by your organization, contact the person who manages your network infrastructure or your internet service provider (ISP).

If you need to add additional, non-consecutive IP address ranges, select Add IP Range again.
- After adding all of the permitted IP address ranges to the list, toggle the disabled switch to enabled to start filtering student devices.
- Select Save.
